Blepharoplasty

Our office is happy to answer any questions or concerns you may have.

Blepharoplasty is an office surgical procedure done under local anesthesia to improve the appearance of the eyelids. Excess skin on the eyelid is removed to treat loose or sagging skin that disturbs the natural contour of the upper eyelid, sometimes impairing vision. For more information we recommend a consult with Dr. Kolegraff.

Heavy eyelids can be a hazard especially when driving. The skin can hang over the pupil partially blocking vision to the sides making objects difficult to see.

Most insurance companies including Medicare will pay for upper eyelid surgery. Your optometrist will do a test called visual field exam that can help you qualify for the procedure.
