Peripheral Vascular Disease

Diseases of the blood vessels

PVD or Peripheral vascular disease is normally used to describe diseases of the arteries. The numerous TV commercials run recently are discussing diesases of the argeries. It easy to confuse the term PVD for Peripheral Venous Disease but normally we do not use these terms that way. Chronic Venous Hypertension is often the term used for disease of the veins.
